Voice Memo "ultrarrápidas" at the Palm with built-in microphone
Although I do not have a Palm with built-in microphone, I've found in the Weblog Zebus a commentary on how "Ultrafast" to save a voice memo. I find it useful to point things to do, faster even than writing it ToDo.

You can associate an alarm to the memo
It appears, pressing and holding the button recording, a voice memo will begin expiring when you drop it. Automatically be saved in footnotes to voice their date and time and duration, and we will no longer associate an alarm so that we remember to listen to later. Although Zebus warns us that if we keep the note on the SD card will not be able to associate an alarm.
Unaware that easy to take notes. Too bad that my Tungsten E2 does not have micro.

Oops! cool trick, never thought ... or will be, q I have not read either the front page of the manual for my T3
It's great, you have to make a quick note, and do not have hands to go get the stylus. (in the car in the middle of the highway) because the T3 catch with his right hand and with the index hit the button to record audio ... tell you what is happening, loose, you're done! freak ... no more stops in Arcen to jot things in the palm!
The first thing is to read the manual, my good Zaxxon
Suerte!
Je, je, yes, read the manual is essential to take advantage of the Palm 100%, as well Leo said in his blog.
Well, look, perhaps this note to your comment makes a little late, but with DIY and I was able to put the microphone to my T | E2, only that I do not have the archives of SoundRec.
You could tell from where I can download?
Well, congratulations, you're done all a handyman. If you want to share your experience, you have this blog at your disposal.
The soundrec can be downloaded from here:

Incidentally I found this thread on installing a microphone in the TX, like you is interesting:

And another where named several programs to record audio:

The official implementation of Palm to take notes of voice is voice memo. One method of achieving it is extracting emulator LifeDrive:
