Important notice for possessing a Tungsten T | X
The creator of the program very useful as archiconocido UDMH, Dimitry Grinberg, has found the solution to a problem that apparently has the Palm Tungsten T | X. I read in TamsPalm memo sent by the Dimitry:
How much pain can cause an app? Let me tell you a story about the TX. Even after a hard reset, the TX has its dynamic heap Fragmented with the biggest free Chunk just 2MB. An application causes this. An application by itself loathed by many and that will likely be loathed by even more for this. The application is Blazer. After installing MemUnfragment by Dmitry Grinberg, the ram is no longer Fragmented
In short, the 4MB of Dynamic Heap of the T | X, only 2Mb are contiguous, available to load a large applications. This limits the maximum size of an application, and carries crashes due to lack of memory. The cause is Blazer, the web browser that is not causing very good impression. Therefore Dimitry has created MemUnfragment, which is responsible for defragment this memory, creating a gap of over 4Mb in it, as it should from the outset.
In a comment to the press release itself, however, warns that this program will correct the problem, but slows down the loading of applications. Surely Dimitry refine this program in the future, but for now, will be of great value to users of the T | X that want to use programs that require all memory of Dynamic Heap possible, as the LJP. If any holder of the T | X has more information on this topic, or try this program, I would appreciate comment on his impressions here.

Hello! Very good your blog. I have the TX (formerly had the Zire 72) and truth is that every time I am more convinced that this is the best palm that has drawn ever. Pity that there is an application called Wifigenie that does not work in TX. Wifigenie serves to mount network drives as if they were an SD card for the palm. Imagine having a virtual card sd 160 GB!!

I have an E2 and I feel the best, but certainly if the TX is at least as stable, you are quite right that it is a marvel.
I did not know what to Wifigenie, but you're right, often program. I'm watching it until it works well as bluetooth. I'm going to take a look ...
Oh, and surely in a few months get a version compatible with the T | X.
This is not true for the Tungsten E2? I followed the instructions in this good place to release cache ... but actually not DBCacheTool defragments the cache, just released.
The reset to defragment goes well, but, curiously, not so much cache leaves me free as one would expect. I suppose that when everything startup default (ZLauncher, DA) leaves me with very little cache although fragmented.
In Palmpowerups.com Dimitry said clearly:
"Description: For Palm TX only. After a soft reset dynamic memory is Fragmented [biggest Chunk is 2 MB], after installetion of this utility, it will be 4 MB. "
I have already ruined my E2 once used by his UDMH, so if you said it was only for the TX I'm going to make the event.
Dimitry spoke of the dynamic memory. That is the Dynamic Heap, which is different from the DbCache. I think this DbCacheTool defrag and do things completely different (defragment different memories).
Respect to the memory after a reset. Without running DbCacheTool nothing else to do a reset or anything like that, my E2 has about 4.8 MB of free memory and defragmenter (in one set). If you have less, is for programs that load at startup. Although the DA just consume about pcos Kb, I do not think they are the culprits. ZLauncher's already tell you I do not know. Try to fix them with RLocker.

Hello everybody! Please, I need help, is my brand new TX ... is not configured as a WiFi .. I tried (e, and even my Palm try to find some networks to connect, etc ... but it turns out that after we served well in the afternoon, at night now I do not do more than give you click to WiFi settings and locks, so if you peak at the WEB icon and the grafiquita on the main menu.
THE TX I worked, was shut down and restart ... How do I solve it or to reset the thing is at ZERO?

If you can not fix the problem, leaving the T | X as coming from the factory will have to do a hard reset. Is explained, along with other types of reset, in this post:

Hi I have the same problem with my TX wifi clicking the icon turns off and reset single and I have done the full reset've left the factory (for the last time ke ke try does not work) ... to the service technician tube ke go with the police to find the kind I did not deliver the keri jaja (no kidding) ... and neither does not like the arrangement ke no longer trust the service technician .. if anyone knows ke happened and knows how to fix it please thanks
That so? I had a similar problem and solved them as gutter (it's the second time it happens).
I have a TX. After opening some sort of software (which I do not remember, but they were for earlier versions of the PalmOS 5) are reset my TX wen an endless loop. In order to do that between the operating system had to stop pressing the button "top" of the browser. In this way came, but disappeared on WiFi icon on the toolbar states and had a lot of things went who did not, even when someone opened the program more or less heavy is reset again and went into the loop.
The solution was almost accidentally and that he was resigned to having to do a hard reset, it started to make a backup "Hand" by copying all the files on my palm to the memory card with frograma FileZ.
In the middle of the copy is reset again, but only that this time and start normally without any problem, working perfectly.
