Very good, my good Marcos is an indispensable ...
Here is a shock to save more than one, myself included
Muy bueno!
To update (change language) applications for Palm OS 5.2.1 coming from base (address, calc, expense, date book, ...), what kind of reset should be done? You really can not do this (ROM are in different languages)?
Thank you
From my own experience, to change the language a soft reset is not enough, we need a hard reset. To make a backup of your Palm before it, you can restore your Palm to as it was in a moment.
With regard to whether the ROM brings applications in multiple languages, in the modern models is well, my E2 has at least one version of a program supported by language. In Palm oldest'm not sure, because I have not had any.
It is easy to check. Using a program like Filez (and activating the option to view files in ROM), enconrarás files such as: AddressBook_esES, AddressBook_frFR, and so on. If there is only one AddressBook, then you can only have it in English (I guess).
A greeting.
Hi, I came here after much searching, try to be clear in my speech. I have a Palm m505 that brought me by both the U.S. is in English (which is practically impossible for me).
Yesterday I was in a palm trunk of the car where he had plenty of sunshine, though it was within the same heat was too, at night the palm not let me do anything, that is appearing on the screen on a permanent basis in To do list, and could not understand nor light, nor change anything. I decided to charge it because I thought that by being turned on in this way could have been spent locked and the battery (not allowed me to do absolutely nothing), the very afternoon I saw, was still exactly the same, so I tried to turn it off, did not respond, as well as The "Burris" I tried the reset to see if I could retrieve information and react. Actually managed to unlock, was charged perfect, the only problem is that appeared just as when I bought it, that is, since 2001. I had two backs on a laptop and a desktop computer, only those that no longer exist, therefore there is no kind of support, I do not have cards or much less. The question then is: is it possible to retrieve my information is substantial for me, I had absolutely everything, addresses, telephone numbers, events, very important information, etc? Thank you for your attention.
Vivi
Hi Vivi.
I am not aware of any application that recovers files deleted from the RAM on a Palm, because it uses a proprietary format. If it were files that were in an SD card (or on the internal memory of a LifeDrive or Tungsten T5) would be easy, and that use the FAT filesystem, but as I say in the case of internal memory you can not help .
