Current status of converters Plucker and Sunrise

The world of programs for Palm never stops, just the opposite. Veterans and usable projects that have already been discussed here are about to undergo big changes. We will have to keep an eye:

  • The creators of Plucker, the conversion of documents into a format readable PDAs, think reopen the development of this application under the name Opusculus as we can see on this page. Other developers are working with additions, as this extension for the Firefox web browser, which allows us to convert and save the page you are visiting at the time, Plucker format, and then read it in our palm.
  • For his part Sunrise, the program based on Plucker, but more oriented to the conversion of RSS feeds, is being created from scratch with the name of SunriseXP, and it is assumed it will become yet more functional than its predecessor. The project is available here, and you can also download from Palmgear and Freewarepalm. The author of Sunrise warned that it had already released the latest version of Sunrise. So I am very glad to know that it has not abandoned the project.

The Palm war have much to give yet, especially with the success they are having (and are going to have this 2006) the Treo phones, and the good performance of the PalmOS operating system in comparison with others.
