Consult Wikipedia from the Palm
For those who do not know yet the Wikipedia, I will quote the definition that we can find it on itself:
Wikipedia is a free encyclopedia based on technology wiki, which enables editing of its contents by any user from a web browser. The contents show that they are free with regard to its use, and editing. Wikipedia is multilingÌe and developed thanks to contributions from tens of thousands of volunteers around the world and in their respective languages. Wikipedia is maintained and administered through the foundation nonprofit Wikimedia. In May 2005, Wikipedia reached in its English version more than half a million encyclopedic articles and more than one million articles in other languages.
Wikipedia is an excellent source of information. In fact, compares its quality with that of the Encyclopaedia Britannica. As you have seen, I use it often in this blog to define the concepts that appear. To learn more about it can be started by this page.
The power of this free online encyclopedia is enormous. Can they keep it always available on our Palm? The first option is to take it kept full. On this page PDAExpertos can download the full version in Castilian, in the program Tomeraider regularly updated. They should take into account the size: the text-only version and are 95Mb, if we choose to include images at low resolution (130x130 pixels), the file is 163Mb, and with high-resolution images (260x260 pixels), becomes 217M .
The other option is to consult over the Internet. We will avoid take place both in our Palm, in addition to access updated content. For this there is a version of the Wikipedia format for PDA, the Wapedia, created by Florian Amrhein. Through this site can search for articles and pictures in the whole Wikipedia, but we are presented in a format lighter, and with the thumbnails. If you ever want, we can see the images to the original size by simply tap into them. In the style of what we commented on Google mobilize, visit the article that will appear divided into several pages, not to saturate our apparatus. In addition to the standard search, on the cover of the Wapedia we can get news of the day, find something interesting visiting a random page, or search the mobile version of Google.

The Wapedia looks great on Blazer
In addition to Spanish, the Wapedia is available in English, German, French, Dutch, Portuguese, Italian, Russian, Romanian, Polish and Turkish. With regard to devices compatible devices available for WAP 1 (wap.es.wapedia.org), WAP 2 (wap2.es.wapedia.org), PDA (pda.es.wapedia.org) and web browsers in general (Www.es.wapedia.org).
In short, either through Internet or saved on the SD card, and we can have the entire contents of one of the best currently available encyclopedias always at hand.
