Edit the user name under which an application is executed

When you download a trial version of a program for Palm, and we are interested, you can register to enjoy the full version of it. After purchase, the process is reduced to enter a password, which testifies that we have paid for it, and is dependent on the user name that we have set our apparatus. This system prevents the keys are moving online, which would be illegal and would lose money to the developers.

But this also brings problems for some users: If over time, have more than a Palm, to be able to sync to your PC you'll need to assign different user names, and only then can install the program you've paid in one of them . Or, simply, you may want to change your user name. Maybe the developer of the program does not want to give you a new key, or simply do not be possible to contact him. To avoid these problems, there are programs available that allow us to define the user name under which each run one of our applications. Before continuing, let me make one thing clear:

These programs should not be used to record programs that have not been purchased. Such practices are illegal, and I am not responsible for the consequences of its misuse can bring.

The program that I recommend for this task is MultiuserHack. There is a version for PalmOS 5, and another for earlier versions, as a hack. I have compiled both versions in this file. Its operation is very simple: show us a list of all applications installed on our Palm, and allows us to choose for each, a different user name.

Changing your username

I do not know whether this application will work well with older machines. Therefore, there is a second option that does the same, call | Hackman | (withdrawn by the author of your page, but available on P2P networks). And posts to give options, another program for Palm OS 5 that makes the same remark HSNSwitch. Everyone can then choose what best works for you. With these applications, there will be no problem to change the username of the Palm: we can continue to use our applications recorded normally.
