The Tungsten PDA

After quite a few weeks of work, The Tungsten PDA has found a new home. Already involved in the disruption of changing accommodation and address (I have to think about buying a domain), I decided to venture to install a CMS that would allow improving the blog. The election was Wordpress, version 2.0.1 translated into Spanish. Even I am beginning with him, but for now I've won a lot of things like being able to preview the entry before publishing it, a very pleasant environment to manage everything and, above all, the possibility of using a plethora of plugins that add really useful features.

But as this is not a blog about publishing, I will comment on some details that have been added to "enhance your experience," as it is fashionable to say these days.

• Thanks to plugin Random post, now under the title of blog you have a link that is called to choose page at random. It's a really fun way to discover new things written in this blog. Clicking iréis directly to a random blog post, and of course at the head will follow the link, hoping that it return to use. This allows browsing to go through the contents of the blog at random and very easily. I recommend you try it a while, because with the passage of time has already accumulated quite content to read, and even I was surprised to rediscover things for quite some time here.
• There have also been added in individual posts, some links to other related topics that acabáis to read. So if you interested in reading, chances are high that you also interested in suggestions.
• Another improvement in the navigability are links to the post above and below, which missed at least the old blog. Also browse categories or search, we can see them paginated with this system, and not only stay with the top 50 results as it did before, according to increasing the number of posts was becoming a problem.
• Other features that were not integrated by default in Wordpress, such as the cloud of tags and the hit, it was possible thanks to add two plugins. The cloud of tags allows you to navigate the posts about choosing labels that I associate with each post when I write. Unfortunately the post before he does not have tags, and that the importation is not allowed, but will begin to operate from now on. The hit, for his part, counted the times that an entry is accessed directly. Therefore, when you load the main page of this blog, are not counted as visits. So it is a guideline, but not equal to the number of people who have read every story.

And I think these are all developments. Once completed the design of the blog (achieved completely rewriting the default theme for Wordpress), more or less everything works.
