A light bulb lit carries more than 100 years
I was stone to find this page. A bulb has been running since 1901! in the hangar of the fire station No. 6 in Livermore, California. The light bulb, manufactured by the Shelby Electric Company, was made by hand and used carbon filament. Consumes about 4 watts, and it is turned on continuously, making the role of nocturnal light in the hangar of the fire trucks. Have put up a webcam so that we see as being continuously on.
The bulb takes lighted since 1901
Incandescent light bulbs usually last between 750 and 2,000 hours if left running continuously. Fluorescent lights can last 20,000 hours. As of June 8, 2002, at 101 birthday of the bulb is lit had certified that more than 800,000 hours. Is included in the Guinness Book of Records.
