Abacus Wrist PDA: wristwatch with PalmOS

A few days ago Leo finally received the Fossil WristPDA had expected. This is a wristwatch that runs Palm OS 4.1, which acts as a PDA. He has done a very interesting review, the first of the device itself, and later of the applications that can run.

A detailed view of the clock

It is a digital wrist watch is not much bigger than a normal, but at teneir installed the operating system Palm OS 4.1, acts as a PDA monochrome. The screen resolution is 160x160 pixels, but to be the smallest screen, displays an image of high quality. The applications are controlled by four buttons that are on the sides, plus a stylus that comes tucked in the belt, but we can also use a stylus normal. You can connect to any PC and Palm, which already has a mini-USB port.

With regard to software that can run, I was surprised to see that is quite broad. As it is basically a low-resolution monochrome Palm, any application that works in them, operate in the Abacus. To test this, Leo shows us how the applications run smoothly default Calendar, Contacts, Notes and Tasks, and other third-party Today, the clone of the same screen name on the Pocket PC, the dictionary BDicty, the suite compatible with MS Office Documents to Go, the document reader Plucker, and many more.

Leo says that if we want to make one, is currently the sole distributor TigerDirect, although there are also second-hand pages to that effect. In short, a small wonder, which no doubt will delight the most fanatical of the Palm.
