Palm meets today 10 years
Today, March 27, met 10 years of the exit to the sale of the first PDA manufactured by Palm Computing: The Palm 1000 and the Palm 5000. Many specialized sites echo those happy days of the anniversary, as MobileRead (with press releases from Palm PDF), PalmSource, TecnoPalm, PalmAddict, Palm Infocenter (with a nice retrospective of the Palm 1000) or PDA Mexico, where have you Next:
Today is March 27 when Palm officially celebrates its anniversary. The first devices were the Pilot 1000 (memory of 128 K), which was sold at a price of $ 299 dollars, and the Pilot 5000 (memory of 512k) that came at a price of $ 369. For $ 149 dollars more was possible to achieve an increase in memory. Neither of the two devices have infrared port.
In a story that is already legendary, Jeff Hawkins with a piece of wood that fit the size of the pocket of his shirt, went everywhere pretending to interact with the handheld device, simulating writing, etc., was initiated as well as the conviction of Prospectuses for investors ... along with Donna Dubinski and then Ed Colligan.
10 years later are now a company that has influenced many lives, how many real and virtual communities have emerged united by their handheld devices, PDAMéxico is one example.
Palm Congratulations!
More generalist sites also show a great interest in the event. PC World, Infochannel or eWeek, to give some examples, talk about it. And CNET, have a special, with a very interesting set of questions and answers to know whether we are a Palmero PRO (and learn many things, such as the demand he made to stop using the Palm Pilot word), a family photo with all the teams current Palm, and another of the various Treo, both full of videos showing.

An entire trip, from the Pilot 1000 to the latest Treo
Because today is a day so nostalgic, we may give us a tour of Palmevolution for the tree of "species" which graphically shows the evolution of all models of Palm, and with an compendium of all the events that have occurred in the history of this company, and some other stuff. There was also talk here a few weeks ago a complete summary of all devices with PalmOS that have been installed.

Palm Congratulations!
Edited: In PDA Experts have written an interesting article also in the wake of the anniversary.
