Conversational adventures, classic games for our Palm (and II)
Now that we know what is this of the conversational adventures, we are going to see as we can always take them with us in our Palm.
It is necessary to consider that these games had different formats, so all of them will not be supported in all the programs execute that them:
- Inform or archives “Z-code”: it is the format used by the games of Infocom, and the majority of the titles. Readers of this format sonCliFrotz, Frobnitz, Kronos, and Frotz.
- Hugo: it is a more recent format. It is supported by PalmHugo.
- Magnetic Scrolls: it is a format created by a competitor of Infocom. Kronos can read.
- A called company Inebooks uses its own format.
A Palm is perfect for this type of games: the small screen is sufficient to read small text fragments, and the graffitti allows us to introduce the orders easily. We are going to see how these classic ones between the classic ones can gamble in our Palm:
- Frotz: he is the first reader of IF for PalmOS. He is not as complete as the others, but it deserves that it is mentioned.
- PalmHugo: she is a quite pleasant interpreter of games in Hugo format. It has a utility to turn the games of PC for Palm.

- Kronos: this he is a reader for games in format Magnetic Scrolls and Z-code. It has support for graphs and PDAs of hi-res. It requires 4,0 PalmOS or superior, and one memory card. The installation requires of steps that are explained in the page of the program (to manually copy the archives to the card).

- Frobnitz: although he is old and it was two years suspended, now one becomes to work in him and still he is one of the best ones.
