Treo 750v, Palm remembers Europe
As you shall know all and, a few days ago was launched in europe the Treo 750v, exclusive contract with Vodafone. This new Treo is basically the Treo 700w appropriate to UMTS networks, the 3G technology that operates in Europe, other than the CDMA used in the United States.

The new Treo 750v, and without more discreet antenna
There have been some changes, such as the elimination of external antenna, increasing the internal memory to 128Mb because we know that Windows Mobile is a devorador resources, and a curious lowering the clock frequency of 312 to 300MHz. It has also been changed from expansion cards to SD format miniSD, prevailing in the current smartphones. At least, the connector remains the same, so accessories other models are compatible. To leave no loose ends, here are the technical characteristics to complete:
| Operating System | Windows Mobile 5.2 ® |

| Tama ñ or | 111 mm x 58 mm x 22 mm |

The main complaints we had against the 700w still there: resolution of 240x240 ridiculous, does not have wifi (which Vodafone greatly appreciate), 2.5 mm mini jack for headphones. As I see this new European model as a step forward: Palm has not forgotten this market, and certainly appears an early version of the phone with Palm operating system, as happened with the 700w and 700p. The lack of wifi is something unforgivable, but until the gentlemen not the actual incorporation of wins, we can not do much more. The increase in memory, the camera of 1.3 Mpx and smaller size and weight of the aircraft, they are steps in the right direction. Even with all the criticism, I think a good team, and if in the future is a version with Palmer (ALP) and wifi, I think I would do it without thinking.
In CanalPDA wrote a series of articles motivated by the launch of this new phone, really interesting to understand many things: the difference between the American and European market (and its sequel), and a valuation quite rightly in my view the launch itself . Hopefully soon discuss the new Treo 750vp or call the Palm version.

jejeje very nice and everything but this really I do not like Samsung 300 MHz processor
The whole reason regarding the ridiculously low resolution…… but the truth is that hate Windows Mobile… anyway I am not even convinced of this SmartPhone… I prefer to have my Palm and my cell separately but working together
The truth that has surprised me as Windows Mobile, I thought that Palm only used the Palm OS, can somebody explain to me why has this happened?
A few years ago Palm split into two companies: PalmOne, which manufactures hardware, and PalmSource, which develops Palmer.
This allows PalmOne (which recently repurchased the name Palm) can put their teams in the operating system that will come in wins, as is now Windows Mobile.
To me that serves as a connection UMTS phone in sleep when the battery is discharged in 4h. I think Palm has entered into a land that still dominates not good and this hurts him.
Any mobile phone with UMTS endures days resting. Sueno OS?
