It eliminates those annoying sounds of your Palm
Perhaps it is not a problem for the majority of the possessors of a Palm, but there is a detail that can be uncomfortable: the small effect that sounds whenever we pressed a physical key, for example the keyboard of the Treo, or we make APT in any element of a program. In order to use it, like any hack, we will need a manager hacks. To PalmOS 5 we have YAHM, that he is compatible with the Palm most recent. Once installed YAHM and this hack in the Palm we activated, it and we chose what sounds to leak. With respect to the stability of the program, there am shortage a peculiar problem. The version that initially I installed in my Tungsten E2 was the 1.0.3, that works without problems. The difference apparently, according to sample YAHM, version 1.0.3 controls only an event of the system to eliminate the annoying sound. The 1.0.4 control two events, by the sight to be more effective, but this behavior since I have said brings about a great instability in the E2.

It is not easier to use in “preferences” the configuration of sounds and alert?
At least in Treo650, that is the one that use now can be deactivated of independent form the sounds of the system (which they are the annoying ones) without affecting to those of the games, those of all type of alert and those of messages (those of the telephone also by all means).

You are right Marks version 1.0.4 gives many problems which does not happen with the 1,03, this in phase beta or thus salio.
