Keep the latest comics on your Palm, without connecting to the Internet
One of the uses daily to our Palm is the most successful using it to read any newspaper online each day (eg El Pais Digital in its version for PDA), or our favorite blogs, without the need for internet connection. It's something that we saw in some detail in this series of posts, and that can be summarized in these pages downloaded from the internet that we want to read, automatically convert them into a format that is then viewable on our Palm and copy them into it, to do all this hotsync the morning and automated way. Those who know AvantGo will know what it is, but this method has many advantages: it's free, more powerful, using free software and has no limit on daily data to download.
However, in addition to newspapers, pages and blogs, there are other use of this system very interesting comics. And that is freely available on the Internet (and if not, there are methods to achieve them as we shall see) the daily strip Garfield or Snoopy, for classic examples of strips that have moved from paper to digital version, as well as many other strips that have born precisely in the net, as the very geek Tira ECOL.

The engineer of the Dilbert comic strip is one of the most famous on the Internet
It is enough that these strips have an RSS feed, so that we can use the method above to download and read them daily at the time that we want in our Palm, so offline. And they are quite a few strips that have this possibility, as we see in this excellent compilation of the blog The Trash. My favorites are Garfield, Calvin & Hobbes, Dilbert and the ECOL Strip, but the list is much longer and on the internet there are many other comics who deserve punishment.
To add my grain of sand, I recommend you visit Tapestry Comics, where there is available a good number of feeds from comics, but in English, which can be an advantage for those who want to improve their English in a very friendly, in addition to the that the translated versions are often delayed in respect of the original strip.
In summary, we have within our grasp the opportunity to carry on our Palm every day over the cartoons that we like, and read them at any time without connecting to the Internet, simply bajándolas to our device in a transparent way each day to make the hotsync .
