The Palm in the world of the medicine
Besides the general use that can be given a Palm, these apparatuses have a greater utility in certain professions. At the time we saw that it is a very recommendable tool for the aviation pilots during the flights and also in earth, but is without a doubt in the world of the medicine where more utilities can be given to one of these apparatuses, and proof of it is the great amount of programs trims in the medicine that exist for PalmOS.

The Palm in the Medicine is absolutely necessary… unless you have the capacity to remember 1500 medecine names, other 400 different diseases with all signs and symptoms, 300 medicinal interactions, 250 own names of signs or diseases, and 150 you formulate of Medicine calculation… and furthermore to remember the name of your patients… Pfff nonthanks… better use a Palm jejejejeje

I am Medical and I have a Tungteen and, already this quite old but this ful of medical programs that have served to me as much.
I have intention to acquire a T3, since it seems to me the best one for my profession, but gustaria to know to me if to part of all the information that we can keep in these, it exists some program and sensor that can allow me to monitor in my Palm the vital signs of my patient in the room of emergencia of fast form, like the arterial pressure, the pulse, the respiratory frequency, the saturation of I oxygenate, etc…?
Hello I am Romi, I finish acquiring a Tungteen E2 and am re contented, I only must learn to use it! ja! I am reading everything, the truth costs the subject to me of the computation but that this goes to help to a pile in my long nights of guard… thanks to me and are continued explaining for nascent!
Alex Branches: Until now only there is oximetro of pulse available for iPaqs, because it consists of a sensor and a Compact card Flash… Here you have a Link… the serious arterial pressure complicated to create because it requires of a compressor and I do not believe that the existing load in the battery of the Palm could solve this… Greetings

I understand about the problem of the use of the compressor for the measurement of the arterial pressure, but there are esfigmomanometros (tensiometros) digital as they own a pump manual, like those of mercury, which after inflating brasalete is deflated automatically and slowly what allows that the equipment sense the arterial pressure. one of these is the created ones by mark OMRON.
I say because serious interesting to tell it this in a Palm yet.

It is a pity that Palm, being one of the spread marks but in the use of PDA for medical use, has not concentrated in this field.
Also law that in a hospital in the USA, nonmemory what, installed a WiFi system for the use of the Palm as medical history using a central network with a data base. With this each doctor, in any place of the hospital, podia to review histories of any patient and to add new notes in these, as well as through keys of access, to review from Internet in the home histories.

I have recommended you in the other post in which you commented the PalmPDF and Adobe Acrobat Reader for PalmOS. In addition when having installed them, I believe that they will allow you to copy PDFs to card SD in each directly hotsync.
