These instructions were contributed amiably by Guillermo in a commentary to post on how connecting the Palm to Internet by means of bluetooth (through a PC). It now explains us to Guillermo like obtaining it but connecting by bluetooth to a movable telephone, and using it like modem GPRS.

Connecting a T2 to Internet by means of the GPRS of a Nokia 6820

Standard GPRS (general Service of radio by packages) very allows to data transfer rates superiors to those of previous standard GSM (global System for movable communications). Requirements of the movable telephone

• A compatible telephone GPRS with the technology of Bluetooth radio. (It consults the manual of the movable telephone).
• A card SIM prepared for GPRS. (Póngase in contact with the Operator of moving grid to activate the service.)
• Detailed information of the Operator of moving grid.

Information that must be specified during the procedure of configuration of “Connection”, and “Network”

• Name of the joining point (APN): The format of the APN usually is of the style “operador.web” in the case of the access to Internet, or “operador.wap” in the case of access WAP. Each service counts on its own rank in the network. Normally, the APN of Internet is number 1.
• Servant of dominion names (DNS): DNS1 and DNS2 - if they are not provided, these parameters can be dynamic.
• Name of user, and password: If they are not provided, will be able to be used any word. Normally, this does not affect the connection absolutely.
• Number of connection GPRS: For example, *99#.

About the movable telephone:

• It activates GPRS for the data communications. (If he is not safe, it consults with the supplier of the movable telephone, or with the Operator of moving grid)
• It activates Bluetooth, and it establishes the movable telephone in the detection way. (It consults the manual of the movable telephone).
• Unloading and installs the “Update of telephone Enlace” of Palm. It provides an automated procedure of configuration that allows to have the configuration, and the most recent controllers for the movable telephone, and the Operator of moving grid. It follows the instructions to install the application, and carries out the steps kindly that are described next to form the hand computer

Configuration of the telephone connection

• In the screen “Beginning” of Palm, goes to the section of Bluetooth (Zire 72, Tungsten E2 and T5 and LifeDrive Mobile Manager).
• In the part inferior of the screen, it touches in the button “Setup Devices” (To form devices).
• Touch in “Configuration of the telephone”.
• Touch in the field “telephone Connection”.
• Touch in “Following” in the screen “Configuration of the connection” when it appears.
• It chooses the “Mark” of the movable telephone of the selection list. Another list will activate just underneath. If the mark nonfigure in the list, clicks in the list of selection “Model”, it chooses the “Model” of telephone, and touches in “Following”. If the model nonfigure in the list, selects “nonvisible”, and installs the corresponding controller of the “Update of telephone Enlace”, or consults the instructions on the configuration method manual.
• It selects “Bluetooth” in the list of selection “By”, and touches in “Following”.
• Once the computer of Palm hand has realised the search to detect active devices, it appears the “Result of the detection”.
• It selects the name of the movable telephone in the list, and touches in “Following”.
• It specifies one “Key” in the computer of Palm hand like, for example, “1”.
• It accepts the process of connection on the telephone, and introduces the key used in the previous step.
• It will appear a message asking to him if this connection must be used of predetermined way, selects “Yes”.
• The procedure of “Configuration of the connection” has finished. Touch in “Fact”, and clicks in “Himself” to accept the configuration of the “Service of network”.

Configuration of the service of network

• In the screen “Configuration service of network”, touches in “Following”.
• It selects “Yes” in the selection list, and touches in “Following”.
• Touch in the list of selection “- Selecc. -”, and it chooses “the area where it is registered/given of high his service of telephony”.
• Touch in the list of selection “- Selecc. -” that appears for “Selecting its operator”, and touches in “Following”. (If the operator nonfigure in the list, consults the instructions on the configuration manual.)
• If the “Configuration service of network” has been realised correctly, it is called on in “Fact” to finalize the configuration, and to return to the screen “Configuration telephone”.

Connection to Internet

• It activates Bluetooth on the movable telephone. (It consults the manual of the movable telephone).
• It beats “To connect” in the screen “Voice link”.

Note: In order to sail by Internet, and to send, and to receive messages of electronic mail from the computer of Palm hand, it unloads, and it installs an exploratory compatible Web, and an application of electronic mail. Method of configuration manual

It uses the following method of configuration if the controller of the movable telephone, the information of the Operator of moving grid, or the application Voice link is not including in handheld or they are not compatible with this one.

• In the screen “Beginning” of Palm, selects “Pref.”.
• “Communication” chooses “Connection” in the section.
• In the part inferior of the screen, it touches in “New”.
• It specifies a name like, for example, “BT-GPRS” in the field “Name”.
• Touch in “Connect to” (To connect with), and chooses “Modem”.
• Touch in the list of selection “By”, and chooses “Bluetooth”.
• Touch in the selection list “Device” to look for the Bluetooth telephone.
• The “result of the detection” will show the existing Bluetooth devices activated in the radius of reach of the hand computer palmOne. (The radius of detection of Bluetooth is of approximately 10 meters)
• Touch in the device to emphasize it, and in “Accepting” to return to the screen “To publish connection”.
• The button beats “Details” that appear in the part inferior of the screen.
• Bps” (57,600 bps) in the selection list selects “to 57.600 “Speed”.
• It specifies the initialization string (field “Initialization string”) of the internal modem of the telephone that provides the manufacturer, or the Operator of moving grid.
• It twice beats “To accept” to return to the screen “Preferences”.
• Touch in “Network” in the section “Communication” of the panel “Preferences”.
• The New” button beats “that appears in the part inferior of the screen “Network”.
• “Service” specifies the name of the Operator of moving grid in the field.
• It specifies the “Name of user”, and the “Password” of the account in the respective fields. Note: Normally, this does not affect the connection.
• Touch in the selection list “Connection”, and chooses the connection that has created in the passages of the 4 to the 10 previous ones.
• Touch in the field “Telephone”, and specifies the telephone number that provides the Operator of moving grid.
• The button beats “Details”.
• It specifies the “Type of connection” like “PPP”.
• It uses the selection list “inactive Time of delay” to choose “Never”.
• If the Operator of moving grid has provided the parameters DNS, distancing “Consultation DNS”, and specifies directions DNS.
• He does not unmark “to the Automatic” value of the field “Direction IP” unless the opposite indicates itself. Touch twice in “Accepting” to return to the screen of preferences of “Network”.

Connection to Internet

• It activates Bluetooth on the movable telephone. (It consults the manual of the movable telephone). It beats “To connect” in the panel “Network”.
• If handheld palmOne is not able to obtain a direction IP of the network, verifies that it has specified all the parameters correctly. If the problem persists, póngase in contact with the Operator of moving grid.

I have accidentally found another article, although in English, that explains like connecting to Internet a Tungsten T2 using a Nokia 6820. I hope that it enters both is possible to be arrived at good term, when not having a telephone with bluetooth I have not been able to prove it.
