Tests of compatibility between 2Gb SD cards and Palm
Although we have seen the official compatibility list that Palm publishes on its website, it is worth it in TamsPalm have really tried 2Gb SD card (2 gigabytes) in various models of Palm. The result is the following:

This 2Gb card ... will it work on your Palm? Now we know
| Model | Recognizes card | Execute PRC (read) | Save PRC (write) |
| m500 | yes | yes | no |
| Tungsten E | yes | yes | yes |
| Tungsten E2 | no | no | no |
| Tungsten T3 | yes | yes | no |
| Tungsten T5 | yes | yes | yes |
| TX | yes | yes | yes |
| Palm Treo 600 | yes | yes | yes |
| Palm Treo 680 | yes | yes | yes |
These are the comments of the test for each team:
- Palm m500 vs 2Gb SD card: The m500 had no problems reading a small PRC file from the card. However, when writing on the card failed to show an error message.
- Palm Tungsten E vs 2Gb SD card: As told in the comments, you can read and write.
- Palm Tungsten E2 vs 2Gb SD card: The E2 did not even recognize the card. Total failure.
- Palm Tungsten T3 vs 2Gb SD card: The T3 reads the data from the card without problem, but can not write data in it.
- Palm Tungsten T5 vs 2Gb SD card: As told in the comments, you can read and write.
- Palm TX vs 2Gb SD card: No problem, you can read and write.
- Palm Treo 600 vs. 2Gb SD card: No problem, you can read and write.
- Palm Treo 680 vs 2Gb SD card: No problem, you can read and write.
Curiously, the Tungsten E is capable of operating 2Gb cards while the E2, which is newer and more powerful, can not. As discussed, most likely be a matter of marketing at Palm, to force us to buy a TX. How kind!
Now there will be many questions when buying an SD card for our Palm, whether us with a 1Gb or 2Gb. Anyway, for those who want to try your luck, you can use the FAT32 library carried by Dimitry Grimberg.

And 4 gigs or more I think no reads .. though in truth I did not need more than 1GB for the palm. salu2
Not sure, but I think to finish liarla FAT32 is 4GB cards and other 4Gb SDHC.
The 4Gb proven reads and writes on a TX, I have not personally ... but a seller of Portables Rigg let me try it on my TX. Greetings.
This information is appreciated that the 512MB and I was pricked in my T5 I start to feel like enough.
This afternoon take an order for DVDs that I do and I pick up a 2GB SD.
Congratulations on the blog.
Delighted Haberte useful, Tofux.
Do not know there were such problems with SD cards in the Palm ... I bought a 2 Gb for my Zire 71 and smoothly.
damn!! .. medeberia have stayed with my t2 for a change recently and it was cut e2
Well the T2 not appear in the list, and seeing that the T3 can not write on the card, it is easy for T2 is equal or worse in that regard.
Anyway, 1Gb is more than enough for a PDA. This is what I use and gives more than enough to take a few music CDs, many programs, documents and even one or two movies.
I wonder if a 1GB card is compatible with Palm Tungsten E2
which is what I have.
Thank you very much in advance, I am new to this, in fact more than a week less.
