Compatibility tests between the SD cards of 2Gb and Palm
Although we have already seen the official list of compatibility that Palm published on its website, it is worth it in TamsPalm have actually tested a 2Gb SD card (2 gigabytes) in several models of Palm. The result is as follows:

This 2Gb card ... Will it work on your Palm? Now we know
| Model | Recognizes card | Execute PRC (read) | Salva PRC (write) |
| m500 | yes | yes | no |
| Tungsten E | yes | yes | yes |
| Tungsten E2 | no | no | no |
| Tungsten T3 | yes | yes | no |
| Tungsten T5 | yes | yes | yes |
| TX | yes | yes | yes |
| Palm Treo 600 | yes | yes | yes |
| Palm Treo 680 | yes | yes | yes |
These are the comments of the test for each team:
- Palm m500 vs 2Gb SD card: The m500 had no problems reading a small PRC file from the card. However, when writing on the card failed to show an error message.
- Palm Tungsten E vs 2Gb SD card: According to the comments, you can read and write.
- Palm Tungsten E2 vs 2Gb SD card: The E2 did not even recognize the card. Total failure.
- Palm Tungsten T3 vs 2Gb SD card: The T3 read data from the card without a problem, but can not write data into it.
- Palm Tungsten T5 vs 2Gb SD card: According to the comments, you can read and write.
- Palm TX vs 2Gb SD card: No problem, you can read and write.
- Palm Treo 600 vs 2Gb SD card: No problem, you can read and write.
- Palm Treo 680 vs 2Gb SD card: No problem, you can read and write.
It is curious that the Tungsten E can handle 2Gb cards while the E2, which is newer and more powerful, you can not. According to comment, it is safest to be a matter of marketing, Palm, to force us to buy a TX. What kind!
Now you will not have so many doubts when buying an SD card for our Palm, if you get on with a 1Gb or 2Gb. Anyway, for those who want to try your luck, you can use the library FAT32 home by Dimitry Grimberg.
