It creates a encriptada virtual unit within your memory card
If there is to hacker of as famous PalmOS as Dimitry Grimberg, that is Alex Pruss. To him we must to him, for example, NVBackup, the fantastic backup program for Palms with NVFS, and that every day includes more characteristics.
The last project of Alex, still in state alpha but already in tests on the part of another user, is CryptDrive. One is a small program that creates a virtual unit within a card SD, MemoryStick, or any other that uses FAT16/32. This virtual unit appears as if it was a physical card, that is to say, with a SD we can make appear two units in our PDA.

Second card SD “Virtualdrive” (original images in this forum of PDAExpertos)
It is more, the program allows encriptar this second unit with AES of 128 bits while it is used, consequently it becomes an ideal way to transport important information, since this unit will be then a “strong box” that could not be read by no other PDA.
What CryptDrive does is to create a file in our memory card, and soon to mount it like unit, in the style of when we mounted a ISO like virtual CD or DVD using DaemonTools or similar in Windows, or simply mount - t iso9660 - or loop in Linux. The maximum limit of size of the virtual unit is, therefore, the maximum size of file, that in FAT32 he is 4Gb, so surely the real size of the SD will be the main limit in the majority of the cases.
Since the majority of the applications written for PalmOS hopes that only there is a card SD, or that of having several the data of the program are in first, he is not recommendable to use this new virtual unit to store the data of the programs that we have installed (archives .pdb, etc).
Finally, to remember that this software is still experimental, so before using we will have it to make a backup of the memory card, just in case. Also, Alex does not recommend to use it in the internal unit (for example the one of the T5).

Incredible Wow that! Good post Marks. Greetings.
Hello friend, very interesting the trick. I want to prove the world of the PDAs and am going to buy a used equipment, almost obtained to the same price a Palm TX and a HP iPAQ rx2400, that equipment you recommend to me to buy?
Hello Nando.
As you include/understand by the thematic one of blog, I would prefer the TX of Palm before iPaq, but that is already very personal.
Nevertheless, the two are PDAs very powerful, with anyone of the two you are going to have a very good experience.
That so stable it is, marks?
It does not seem that he is especially problematic. I will look for in the forum in they discuss which it to see if somebody reports a mutual incompatibility.
hello the program works?
