Instant messaging and free VoIP calls with Gizmo Project for Palm
For those who do not know yet, Gizmo Project is a program for instant messaging and free calls over the Internet, competition from Skype. The PC version has existed for some time now, but the cause of which appears on this blog is that, unlike the latter, the boys of Gizmo Project have developed a version for Palm devices:

At last our Treo can be used as a VoIP phone
- It is a program without time limit or functionality, and your download is free, although obviously we will need to use an internet connection to our Palm contracted with our operations. Or not, since we have seen how to connect our Palm internet through PC, multiple ways, using the internet connection we have.
- Lets see who is online, add contacts and communicate with our contacts in the instant messaging networks AIM, MSN Messenger, Yahoo Messenger, GoogleTalk, iChat and many others.
- Supports a number of Palm devices: Treo 600, Treo 650, Treo 680, Treo 700p, Sony UX-50, Tungsten T3 and Palm Zire.
- The program can be downloaded to your PC and then hotsync install it or download it directly from the internet on your Palm. Just visit this website.
- Gizmo Project for PalmOS runs in the background, so that does not interfere with the normal use of the Palm. When we receive a new message, we'll notify you by sound, vibration or notice, as we have configured. You may have configured multiple messaging accounts at once on the same computer, and has a record of discussions.
- So far the network connectivity with AOL and MSN messaging is already available, while other networks will be supported soon. It provides support networks including Jabber, widely used in universities and companies.

Gizmo Project brings instant messaging and free calls to the Palm
In short, something that users of PalmOS we had waited a long time. Not a novelty, the possibility of instant messaging programs already existed for such functions as Agile Messenger, ChitChat lite, IM + Messenger, AOL, Mundu IM, Jabber Palm, and even online services such as eMessenger, as he says Leo. But VoIP calls that are themselves a novelty, something many have wanted to take some time. And if you messaging is integrated with VoIP, with support for almost all existing networks and can not ask for more. Congratulations Gizmo Project for betting on PalmOS!
Discuss that in addition to PalmOS, have released versions for Nokia phones and the famous Linksys Wi-Fi.

Hello everyone! to see if anyone help me with this show ... like demons manage to see my list in msn? The other thing I have not tried yet because I have a Palm TX and still has not come to commission external microphone ...
If someone helps me, I would be grateful!
The truth is, I think this report is completely wrong, first, does not allow me to connect with other IM networks, second, does not support voip for palm, I clarify that I have a TX with an additional microphone and not There is no menu or anything in it that says absolubto voip. only the client is for Windows or Mac brings the support. The most you can do with this is to send a written message within the network gizmo, so I really useless, since I installed the VeriChat. This really is a hair taken. Really, if someone shows me that this is not true I would appreciate it.
I agree with max, the Palm version only has support for large text messenger desepcion we have to wait.
At present only AOL and MSN networks are supported. The others are still in preparation. With regard to VoIP, I could only try it on my Tungsten E2, which has no microphone and wifi, so I do not got to prove you're probably also still underway.
I use my hotmail account from this program? I have to get a gizmo account?
PS: the agile messenger for palm OS is not ... At least their website says so ... There will be some expert who will have mercy to answer these questions?
(PS: go with the blazer to the following dir: wap.tjat.com is a decent batante msn online, updated every 15 seconds. And if they use a tx, and do not func the above programs, is a great option, but now, if you use GPRS, for better bajenlo frequency)
Ignatius, it is Agile Messenger for PalmOS, at least it was.
Ok, I saw how this madrola, I will give the steps that work for me in my palm Tx:
01-between to "Add AIM, MSN ..."
02-like message put "help" (no quotes) and you say "send"
03-Marks the number corresponding to the account you want to set up hotmail in my case, so check: 2
04 You send your account: mi_cuenta@hotmail.com and sends
05 The same with your account password
06 out of the conversation, go to the main screen and in the upper right, select "All" and gradually began to appear contact.
Greetings
