Changing the language of your Palm with PiLoc
Many times after buying a second hand Palm PDA, or in another country, new users are faced with a problem: how to change the language? Some are multi Palm (mainly European), which means that you can choose from (the first start) the language they used. Usually these six languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Italian and Portuguese. If our Palm is one of them, they simply have to do a hard reset for us to go back to this question, and we choose our mother tongue.
The problem, however, is that there are other Palm that only supports a single language, including English. In its ROM is not included files with the necessary translations, and it is impossible to use another language. ¿Impossible? Not completely, since there PiLoc.

Interface a Palm translated into Czech with PiLoc
PiLoc is a program that modifies the PalmOS PDA changing our language and localization options, supporting a total of no fewer than 30 languages: Arabia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarusian, Bulgarian, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Estonian, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hungarian, Icelandic, Italian, LATV, Lithuanian, Mongolian, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Slovak, Slovenian, Swedish, Turkish, Ukrainian, and of course Spanish. The program is not restricted to translate messages from the operating system, but also locates the PDA, ie suited to the culture of the country, added the letter "o" at the keyboard in the case of Spanish, allows the accents of that language, and so on. It is curious to see such a Palm IIIc or a Visor Deluxe, which was never built with support for other language than English, and yet with PiLoc have letter "ñ" on the keyboard.

PiLoc also works on the Sony Clie
On the technical level, which makes PiLoc PalmOS is that it works internally with Unicode, which makes it much easier to adapt to the language after it is needed. Additionally, it includes sources point to the new language, and amending the graffiti to include characters that correspond to that location. There are two versions of PiLoc: the Lite, which runs for five days as the complete, but only after providing translation of the keyboard and graffiti, and complete, that translates completely all messages from the operating system.

PiLoc is very easy to set
So if your PDA or smartphone, Palm is in a language with which you can not work comfortably, do a test with the Lite version and if you're running smoothly, you will get compensated with the full version that you can use your Palm and finally with any comfort.

PiLoc Monitor allows you to change the fly translation of PiLoc
And for those with multiple needs of location, PiLoc Monitor is another program that complements PiLoc, specifically allowing us to change the language of the Palm "on the fly." Palm essential if we are going to use more than one language.
Published: Genaro in the comments we recommend a better option to go to the Palm Russian, which is also free: CryHack V.

Congratulations on the post. ... ... But if someone has managed to install Japanese in a UX50, which as I say, please. I have tried everything and has been in vain. It works with the simulator of the customer, because I think it is in English, but when you install the Japanese ux, no. It really is a shame, because I believe that the performance of my ux, is 35%.
In any case the benefit is more satisfactory to the genral particular.
Greetings and congratulations on the post and the blog.
HELLO ANYONE could help? BUY ME A PALM TX AND THAT RESULT IN HIGHER LEFT FIELD The Pencil MARK A BIT BELOW WHERE YOU Press. AND REGULATING THE PROGRAM THAT COMES BUT STILL LIKE-INSTALLED
Would know that someone else can I do?
THANK YOU. JOHN
Try the recalibration programs, but if your computer is new is surely more of a manufacturing defect, so I took the warranty and the repair you.
But the PiLoc, has a problem when the language also changes the alphabet; between Spanish, English or French there is not much problem, but to change it to Russian, which uses another alphabet, there is an incompatibility between the programs, writing, etc.. In addition to the PiLoc is something to pay.
For the specific case of Russian, the program is the best CyrHack V is free and free. When writing in Spanish does not change the Lestra with accents as does PiLoc; and write in Russian, recognizes all the characters without any problem.
I would like to know where I can download the PiLoc or if someone can share in order to be able to download it
