How to execute Java applications in the Palm
David Chaves, from Costa Rica, sends this collaboration to us where it expands the explanation of how to install the virtual machine Java in the Palm, to be able to execute in our Palm the Java applications that there are available in Internet. Thanks, David!
Desire to contribute to a series of steps and archives for the correct use of Java applications in the Palm, as games for moving bodies. In order to realise this procedure the following archives are due to unload:
- Virtual machine IBM: WEME571.zip.
- Toolkit of simulation: Java_Tech_for_Garnet_WEME57.zip. (original unloading)
- JAD Maker: JAD_Maker.zip (page Web).
The virtual machine Java for Palm is developed by IBM
The following archives in the Palm are due to install:
- Of the first unloading the archives are due to enter directory “WEME571/JVM/ARM4T” and to install: “J9JavaVMMidp20.prc”, “J9JavaVMMidp20_es.prc” and “JavaVMCheck_esES.prc”.
- Of the second unloading the following archives are due to enter the directory “Java_Tech_for_Garnet_WEME57/JVM/Simulator” and to install: “ams.prc”, “j9keystore.prc”, “J9Launcher.prc”, “j9pref.prc”, “j9secpol.prc”, “PalmMidp20_22.prc” and “pref.prc”.
- After to have installed the previous archives, we come to insert the Java applications (games and other programs), taking the file from extension to.jar (in case .jad does not have a similar with extension) we put and it on open map JAD Maker (the third unloading), so that the file is generated .jad that is necessary.
- We join the directory of the second unloading: “Java_Tech_for_Garnet_WEME57/Tools/bin/” and we executed the application “jartoprc_w”, we selected there where are the archives to.jar and .jad of the application to install, soon we generated the file .prc we installed and it in our Palm.
Note: All the archives must settle in the internal memory of our Palm.
If somebody wishes games for moving body of Java platform in freeware, it can unload them of the following site, I do not guarantee that all work correctly in the Palm: to unload.

decirte forgot to me acerka a called application softick breaks not as it works and the truth is parace the E2 slightly but fast erea law ke you recommend for the LD. your ke komentas… and if you could runs some game of snes in e2 you warn to me

It had read on softick cache which it left, seems that he is especially effective in the LifeDrive, I suppose that when habitually only 2 or 3 programs are used and these are in cache.
Then no, I have not tried to run games of SNES in the E2 because it seemed to me to request pears to him to the elm tree, perhaps gets to have sufficient memory with the UDMH but the processor I do not believe that the sufficient thing can be forced, to more of 266MHz the E2 is hung to me directly. It is question to prove it.
Snes does not work in te2, I have already proven it million times and it gives an error you, and it alerts fatal with respect to his use.
we will have to wait for a new version .....
