How to run Java applications on Palm
David Chaves, from Costa Rica, sent us this collaboration which expands the explanation of how to install the Java Virtual Machine on the Palm, to get our run on Palm Java applications that are available on the Internet. Thanks, David!
I want to make a series of steps and files to the correct use of Java applications on the Palm, such as mobile gaming. To perform this procedure should download the following files:
- IBM Virtual Machine: WEME571.zip .
- Simulation Toolkit: Java_Tech_for_Garnet_WEME57.zip . ( original download )
- JAD Maker: JAD_Maker.zip ( Web page ).
Java Virtual Machine for Palm is developed by IBM
It should install the following files in the Palm:
- From the first download should be joining in the "WEME571/JVM/ARM4T" and install the files: "J9JavaVMMidp20.prc", "J9JavaVMMidp20_es.prc" and "JavaVMCheck_esES.prc."
- In the second discharge must enter the directory "Java_Tech_for_Garnet_WEME57/JVM/Simulator" and install the following files: "ams.prc", "j9keystore.prc", "J9Launcher.prc", "j9pref.prc", "j9secpol . prc "," PalmMidp20_22.prc "and" pref.prc. "
- After installing the files above, proceed to add Java applications (games and other programs), taking the file extension. Jar (if you do not have a similar extension. Jad) and put it on the open application JAD Maker (the third shock) for generating the file. jad is necessary.

I had read about Softick Cache that came out, seems to be particularly effective in the LifeDrive, I guess when commonly used only two or three programs and they are cached.
No, I have not tried to run SNES games on E2 because it seemed to ask for the impossible, he may come to have enough memory to UDMH but the processor does not think you can force enough to more than 266MHz E2 I was hanging directly. A matter of taste.
The SNES does not work in e2, I've tried a million times and gives you an error, and fatal warning regarding their use.
