The Palm as a tool of the hacker (V): Bluetooth, and infrared wifi
Continuing the series of articles in which we are seeing the Palm may be the preferred tool of a hacker, having seen the tools needed for the tasks most common networking, we will deal with techniques for detecting network connections and create less conventional:
- For Palm with bluetooth, BtSerial Pro allows connect to any Bluetooth device, which supports the service bluetooth serial port. This allows us to easily connect mobile phones, sensors, etc.. On the same page can be found BtSerial, more basic but free, and BtServer, which allows you to create the serial bluetooth in master mode, so that other Bluetooth devices to connect to it. For example, using BtSerial in a PDA and BtServer another, we have a system of basic chat by bluetooth.

Connecting via Bluetooth with BtSerial
- Regarding the wifi networks, as long as our Palm has this kind of integrated connectivity, as the LifeDrive or TX, or have bought an SD card wifi, we may use the tools we already saw in another article on this topic: NetChaser, Wiffi, WiFi-where, etc., that will enable us to detect WiFi networks in our surroundings without having to carry a laptop.

Detecting WiFi networks with NetChaser
- For teams that have an infrared port (IrDA), we will be very well the utility GO Ping. This program shows communications between a Palm and any other equipment with infrared port, including printers, mobile phones, or other PDA.

Analyzing an infrared connection
Finally, a curious use of infrared port is to use the Palm as a remote control car, although of course in older models that used this type of connection, because today all the controls operated by radio frequency.

It is possible to emulate a commanding infrared with our Palm
We now know how to connect our Palm on a network. In the next post in this series we will see all the tools of analysis of networks that exist for our Palm.
