Let the new Palm as a 'hard reset' nondestructive
Once again MrAnderson us obsequia with one of his posts helpful. In this case it is making a hard reset, we know that as recently as Palm leaves the factory output, but without the problem of losing all the information and programs we have installed since the purchase.

Time to make cleaning our PDA
Ultimately, a method to leave only the necessary files on the Palm, and thus eliminate the remnants of uninstalled and temporary files that are generated on a daily basis, bringing our Palm will have more free space in memory, and will run faster in general. MrAnderson has filled the tutorial screen shots so we do not have any problem in the footsteps. In his own words:
Anyone who has a Palm knows that it is sometimes necessary to do a hard reset to clean all those libraries that were not inadvertently uninstalled or applications that produce and conflicts that are hindering the proper functioning of our device.
But it is also true that we do not want to lose information from the basic Palm applications, also known as PIM, such as Calendar, Contacts, Memo, Quick Notes, Tasks, etc.. Certainly the rest of the applications can re-synchronize and install them, but to not lose information from these applications must perform a procedure that is not difficult, but needs to be done correctly.

The tutorial has pictures step by step
A procedure, performed once in a while, keep our cool Palm PDA or smartphone and trouble free. MrAnderson advances that soon will write a post on tools uninstall undoubtedly the best way to make this hard reset nondestructive required much less often.
Published: Juan Carlos Martin us recommends an alternative method that involves removing a single file of the PDA, but then you have to reconfigure our preferences. It is best to try both to see what we prefer.

uffff…. I think this what I need, and I do not do more than anything for fear of wasting time and effort. The other day I was with a pda similar to mine, but newly installed, and would like a shot!
We will have to take a look to see if the method inspires me confidence.
I feel less aggressive, problematic and complex to explain the procedure in this analysis of Web / forum "PalmManía":

Greetings,
Excellent method Juan Carlos. Uniting your "regeneration" of the file SavedPreferences with a good uninstaller program for not letting loose files, can be a very good option.
Magullu, already have two options to test
Effects, friend Marcos, is a very effective procedure, not lose any files or database (although it is always good to a backup before using any method), and also… no need to synchronize, or use the PC for all this .
I practice this method of cleaning when a previous restore (use NVBackup and Resco Backup in parallel, always) not achieving overall stability of my two Palm, and everything is perfect. What I recommend, along the lines of my tutorial in PalmManía.
Greetings,
chka his video player is the best q palm jajaja http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H-bUmHl6SaQ
Well, you take a look too.
Of course, or what I do today until Monday or anything, I do not want to stay without pda weekend. On Fridays are the computer so that the Jew on Saturday.
It is cojonudo. I charge the Saved Preferences, using the Filez, I reset… until now. Neither rebuilds or anything, first nosequé told me that he had installed maxX (to know when it will be installed… not remember anything about it) and stays hung in the boot screen.
Now if I'm going to have to do a hard reset, because they are soft and after three starts none.
Magullu, there is no need to reset of the total. I imagine that the problem is that you've encountered any application by "rare" that have resident in memory, but sort out the situation. Just as in the boot pulses the upper command of multiple circular, and you start the Palm in safe mode (similar to the F8 Windows PC), ie without the resident programs in memory. This program shows you what deactivate (must have some file itself, not in Saved Preferences), and then do a reset normal again… you should start as indicated in my tutorial.
I have very special programs, including Dmitry Grinberg, and never gave me any problem doing this type of cleaning. Neither is true that I have programs that are not purchased or freeware, so I avoid rare situations of instability.
Greetings,
Nothing, no problem, is that too was garbage. I suppose what loading the preferences saved well when this is done regularly, but my case required a more drastic action.
My fundamental cardreader, palmfiction, The Core Pocket Media Player, Agendus, warpspeed (by ruidito of the screen)…
Now I'm reinstalling everything and now I'm going well with the method of mr Anderson. The agenda is recovered and am going step by updating some version that I had left behind. Today I already have the day completito
Others: Resco viewer, filez, brightness fix… I must get back to the traps to connect with my nokia model that is not listed ufff… I have no nothing
I also think that lack of change desktop want. Before had ZLauncher, but I was not much more for.
