Let the new Palm as a 'hard reset' non-destructive
Once again MrAnderson us complimentary one of his posts very useful. In this case we have to do a hard reset, we know that as recently as Palm leaves the ex-factory, but without the problem of losing all the information and programs we've installed since the purchase.

It's time to clean up our PDA
In the final analysis, a method to leave only the necessary files on the Palm, and thereby eliminate the remnants of the uninstall and temporary files that are generated on a daily basis, making our Palm will have more free memory space, and will run faster in general. MrAnderson has filled the tutorial screen shots so we do not have any problem in further steps. In his own words:
Anyone who has a Palm knows that it is sometimes necessary to do a hard reset to clean all those libraries that were not inadvertently removed or applications that produce conflicts that are hindering the proper functioning of our device.
But it is also true that we do not want to lose the information of the basic applications of the Palm, also known as PIM, such as Calendar, Contacts, Memo, Quick Notes, Tasks, and so on. Certainly the rest of the applications we can return to synchronize and install them, but not to lose the information from these applications there is a procedure that is not difficult, but needs to be done properly.

The tutorial with images step by step
A procedure, executed from time to time, keep our cool Palm PDA or smartphone and trouble free. MrAnderson advances that soon will write a post on removal tools, undoubtedly the best way to make this hard reset nondestructive necessary with much less frequency.
Published: Juan Carlos Martín we recommended an alternative method is to remove a single file of the PDA, but then you have to re-configure our preferences. The best thing is to try both to see which we prefer.

uffff .... I think this what I need, not what I do more than anything for fear of wasting time and effort. The other day I was with a pda similar to mine, but newly installed, and would like a shot!
We will have to take a look to see if the method inspires me confidence.
I feel less aggressive, problematic and complex to explain the procedure in this analysis of web / forum "PalmManía":

Greetings,
Juan Carlos excellent method. Linking your "regeneration" of the file SavedPreferences with a good uninstaller program for not letting loose files, can be a very good option.
Magullu now you have two options for testing
Indeed, my friend Mark, is a very effective procedure, not lose any files or database (although it is always a good backup before using any method), and also ... no need to synchronize, or use the PC for all this .
I practice this method of cleaning when a previous restore (use NVBackup and Resco Backup in parallel, always) did not achieve total stability of my two Palm, and everything is perfect. I recommend, along the lines of my tutorial on PalmManía.
Greetings,
ste this better chka video q the palm jajaja http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H-bUmHl6SaQ
Well, you have a look, too.
That is, or what I do today until Monday or nothing, no pda I want to stay the weekend. Fridays are the computer so that the Jew on Saturday.
It cojonudo. I charge the Saved Preferences, using Filez, I reset ... until now. Neither rebuilt or anything, nosequé first told me that he had installed the maxX (to know when it will be ... I do not recall having installed any of that) and is left hanging at the boot screen.
Now if I'm going to have to do a hard reset, because they are soft and after three starts none.
Magullu, there is no need to reset it's total. I imagine the problem you've encountered is an application for "weird" that have memory-resident, but sort out the situation. Just click in the boot of the upper command multiple circular, and you pull out the Palm in safe mode (F8 similar to the Windows PC), ie without the memory-resident programs. The program tells you what to deactivate (must have some file itself, not in Saved Preferences), then do a reset normal again ... you should boot up as indicated in my tutorial.
I have very special programs, including Dmitry Grinberg, and never gave me any problem doing this type of cleaning. I have also not true that programs that are not freeware or purchased, so I avoid rare situations of instability.
Greetings,
Nothing, no problem, is that he had too much garbage. I guess it loaded the preferences saved well when this is done regularly, but my case required a more drastic.
My main CARDREADER, palmfiction, tcpmp, Agendus, warpspeed (by the ruidito of the screen) ...
Now I'm reinstalling everything and when I go well with the method of mr Anderson. The agenda is recovered and in passing I am going to update some version that I had left behind. Today I got the day completito
