To turn a MontBlanc pen into stylus
In PDAExpertos we can read a complete news article on stylus of this mark, being very peculiar to see the characteristic white star, emblem of the mark, in the part superior of the same. The basic models are worth their $40 dollars, but del is not even a model with inlaid diamonds that I do not know the price, and I believe either that it needs to know it.

Stylus MonBlanc of platinum and diamonds
But really we want to be original and to have class, can make our own stylus MontBlanc from a vedadero MontBlanc ball-point pen and stylus, as this user explains in PalmAddicts. One is to modify the red load of the ball-point pen to replace the end to him by the head of stylus.

Disassembling to the ball-point pen and stylus
The result, like we can see, is than acceptable more.

The MontBlanc ball-point pen turned into stylus
Somebody cheers up? If it is thus, we want to see his photos in “the pdatungsteno” group of Flickr.

I am specialistic in the world of the writing (I collaborate for specialized means), like I do in the world of the image (it photographs).
Years ago I bought stylus of original Montblanc, simply platinado (nothing of diamonds, although in the other equal to the one of the image shown in this article), and although expensive, he is not nothing that cannot be done of crazy way. Very beautiful and elegant east stylus platinado, besides sober. But… the zone of the leader is something widens, although very smooth, which reduces the precision to him that has stylus original of Palm, for example.
For this reason, and although the one of Montblanc buys me at the time - by being a professional lover and of the writing, I use in my Palm stylus native of the mark… is practitioner more.

Thanks for your opinion, Juan Carlos.
It is a pity that stylus of MontBlanc is not around its excellent fountain pens.
Montblanc no longer is what was in years 50/60/70 with its fountain pens, the quality of the materials has lowered enough, in such a way that what before it was guarantee of by life for his proprietor, now it has remained in only 2 years. Much and the good marketing, that it surpasses to the real quality of the product.

Good morning, entered here so that to me its proposal has drawn attention, which happens that like professional of the sector, has surprised to me that puts pen when it is a ball-point pen which has adapted. I also feel that a gentleman who says that she is specialistic in writing not has corrected them the error, and that in addition allows him to criticize a mark that without her does not venderian fountain pen now and as the specialistic one would have to know that in the guarantees it never has since they have of guarantee of by life, the guarantees never cover the damages produced by falls, blows, and wearing down of use. And that until years ago changed the pieces without watching the cause of their breakage. But that has left now it in two years it is interesting when many products only apply a year that is the obligatory one by law. And as far as the quality that is the first mark world is not only obtained with marketing, but giving to a good product as soon as price, after-sales materials and service.
a greeting.
Carlos Martinez.
My interest in my original commentary was in having stylus original of Montblanc, not in no adaptation on the matter. Like so, I centered my opinions there, and I ratify myself in them, because never I think of products that I have not tried personally, and at professional level. The one that Marks proposed a modification on a ball-point pen (esferógrafo as it denominates Montblanc officially) is something evident for my, but as I indicate, that was not the reason for my commentary, but stylus Montblanc.
The fountain pens are not sold still only by a mark like Montblanc, far from it, and perhaps you say this - without spirit of ofenbderle- by certain lack of culture in the world of the writing, concretely the one of the fountain pens. The market follows alive mainly by the Italian marks of high quality, but mainly, by the dedicated ones to its limited editions specialized for the world of the collecting, that is extremely active. Also German marks as Lamy and Pelikan must much say, and are enough to comment to him that Lamy is number 1 of sales in Germany, and with much difference on Montblanc, in addition with an equal quality, or even superior, as happens to the own Pelikan.
Montblanc sells by his or planned marketing, without it misestimates the quality of his products, it has that it, but not at the level of other many marks, best especially the Italians, the queens of the world of the fountain pen (Aurora, Delta, Montegrappa, Omas, or Visconti, among others several)… those if that are veteran marks, cheers, innovators, and of a doubtless quality, as much as accomplishment, as in its general design. To these it would be possible to be added other many to him more of artisan type, whose prices are unattainable for the majority of the mortals, although by my profession, I have had the occasion to prove them and to enjoy its handling.
Montblanc if it gave limitless guarantee for his original proprietor, and thus consists in its manuals that I own, because I have read them all when proving them, besides that I have personally. But for a few years, this guarantee has been limited 2 years (by manufacture defects exclusively, that are logical), whereas other marks of great quality maintain their limitless guarantees of by life, that is a great difference, and that indicates the immense confidence that a mark has by the products that limitless guarantee makes….
I know many Montblanc which parts of their “special” resin have cracked him, or which there are lost the watertightness of its deposits (those that take system of load by piston integrated in the body, which they are the best ones). The unique fountain pen that stained with red the pocket to me of a shirt, and has passed thousands of them through my hands, was a Montblanc Meisterstück 146, indeed. And that consists that it is a model that use, because I like his aesthetic and his set plumín/feeder, although has its skinny points in other senses enough.
The world of the stylographic pen requires to know itself internamente very thoroughly to be able to include/understand it well, is not enough with letting itself take by the marketing of some marks, is necessary to prove hundreds of fountain pen, of all type, to have a general and right vision than that is spoken on the matter… is the difference.

Carlos you are right, it must have put ball-point pen, it was a confusion as for me.
On the other hand, I believe that now, at least in Spain, we have happened of a year to two of obligatory guarantee for consumption products.
Juan Carlos, thank you very much to share your knowledge on fountain pen. Like not initiated in the subject, he only knew the marks habitual: MontBlanc, Parker, Pelikan, but have surprised to me what you comment for example on the excellence of the Italian pens. You have removed a little my ignorance to me.
With respect to the commentaries of Juan Carlos Martin.
We go by parts:
1. - Limitless Guarantee of breakage by accidents, I even believe that only Parker with its material Permanite and Sheaffer with his Radite and plumillas Lifetime because its lamina was four times they gave, it, and not to confuse “limitless” with of by life. And I reaffirm Montblanc gave total guarantee, until the abuses broke the norm as of 1996. A defective material of order, does not take two or three or five years in leaving it appears to the four days.
2. - Who beginning the world of the regularly Limited Edition pens was Montblanc in 1992. There was some previous attempt on the part of other marks that continuity until after this year did not have.
Later they followed all to him, and done very well, thus we have been able to increase our benefit.
3. - The world of the writing is alive, not only by the collectors, but by the people whom fountain pen employs to learn to write, to communicate or to take it in the pocket or the hand and to shine it.
4. - In Castilian Spanish or, the instrument of writing with ball end is called ball-point pen, nonesferógrafo.
5. - To put in the same Lamy coat that Pelikan or Montblanc, does not have sense, is to mix characteristic and even heterogenous philosophies. In any case, whichever Lamy pens of thirty or forty years ago are working and whatever of Pelikan or Montblanc. Of course Lamy never has had the intention of which these years last all.
6. - The material that is to say, the resin of Montblanc that uses in the 21st century, is the same that in years 60 and 70 of the past century.
7. - Marketin of Montblanc of course that is the best one, as is demonstrated by its sales, but would be to accuse of stupid idiot the world-wide public, if they continued buying the product and they did not have the quality that is attributed to him.
8. - To say to veterans to Delta and Visconti comparing its 25 years, and not its quality, with the centenary approximated of Aurora, Montegrappa and Omas, seems to me a desliz.
9. - The loading mechanisms to piston, deteriorate with the use or abuse. When they do not realise his function suitably take to repair like all the things, but it happens that the shirt can stain you.
10. - You say that the world of the fountain pens is necessary to know it thoroughly, you write a monthly article or two, hagiographal ones, in Clocks & Fountain pen, are an enthusiastic lover, whose passion blinds to him and that lasts to him and it continues it enjoying. But professional it is understood of which lives to sell and to repair, in this case fountain pens.
A greeting.
Answer to the last commentary of Carlos Martinez:
In response to the indicated detailings, and respecting the order comment the following thing:
1. - Limitless Guarantee and of by has given it to life, and they continue giving it marks of prestige in the world of the writing. Nobody must clear this privilege, synonymous of great quality, due to “abuse”, because the manufacturer knows very well when and as a failure in a product takes place. If a mark suppresses that guarantee of by life it is because no longer is so safe of the reliability in his products, or by purely economic subjects. I insist, continue existing enough marks of prestige that maintain this limitless guarantee or of by life, logically, excluding breakage by evil use, is evident. There are failures that take more than 2 years in taking place, on the basis of the use that of a a product, and I say to the use, not to the evil treatment.
2. - It was not Montblanc that initiated the limited edition models of regular way, far from it. Among others, Visconti began this way to make and to commercialize, a few years before Montblanc, and by the way, with a quality and technology of design very superior in all the senses. At the moment, Dante of the Vecchio (Visconti) is possibly “the gurú” major of the world of the fountain pen. A mark with less years in the market that Montblanc, but very fruitful, not in number of production, but in other many senses. Formerly, and very previous to Visconti - by supposed limited editions were realised, even with marks of type jewel, like S.T. Dupont, for example. There are many more, and this commentary would be made extensive extremely.
3. - If, the world of the writing with pen is alive, but more mainly in the section of the collector. I personally use exclusively fountain pen from boy (and already I comb white)… ABSOLUTELY FOR EVERYTHING, he does not stop to shine it, but to use it, until in the beach in vacations. But it is not habitual east subject, not even between writers, nor between normal people, the “virus” of the ball-point pen I take to the fountain pen to a great extent, and they even closed many marks by its fault.
4. - If, for my ball-point pen is called, for Montblanc… NEVER, always it is esferógrafo.
5. - I believe that it does not know the Lamy mark well, perhaps by “a short” distribution in Spain, but she has been innovating absolutely in everything, and his eternal models in many cases. In fact, not if it knows east model, Lamy 2000 is a model designed and commercialized in 1966 (by Gérard A. Müller), and follows in production and sale, with the total present time of design, in spite of its 41 years of age in the market. It has similar models, and all excellent ones. It is a great mark, is necessary to know it properly.
6. - No, Montblanc used until 50/60 years celluloid, even before its “special resin”, with remarkable differences of quality. Even the resin that since then introduced in the market, has varied in its quality. I am not going to enter this commentary in more details, but until his more classic models (Meisterstück 146 and 149), they have decreased much in some of his characteristics in the last years, although the appearance is the same. Well as they are the fountain pens, their technology, and each and every one of the characteristics of the models that I analyze.
7. - Montblanc sells, and knows to do it, in that is no doubt some, but there are many countries that do not respond just as Spain in this sense… I assure it.
8. - No, there is no desliz, that these two marks have 25 years of age, in front of other Italians with almost 100 years (or more), it does not mean that their products must nothing envy to them, far from it, mainly in the case of Visconti. The age is not a “degree” in all the cases, and to be different all this well.
9. - Everything deteriorates with the use and the time, mainly if the materials are better or worse. Practically use fountain pens of piston always integrated in the body, are those that I like more, and the unique one that it failed to me was the one that I have mentioned. It can be chance or no, but it is the reality that I have lived, and through my hands they pass many models of all the marks, practically.
10. - By all means that gets passionate the fountain pens, but it would not dedicate me to it, would use nor them. I before take to years writing (since I am based) the magazine that it indicates, and in another one, besides advising to some marks, that is to say, I do not make this by whim or diversion, but professionally. That it does not sell nor repairs fountain pen does not mean that it does not know them internamente, its marketing, and the world surrounds that them. You do not know really my knowledge, and that is to make a judgment of somewhat frivolous value with its words. A professional is not only who sells or repairs a product, is all that one that is in technical surroundings, is repairer, salesman, probador, specialized, manufacturing journalist, etc… that is to say, that receive by its knowledge in a matter, besides knowing well its “profession”. Just like I say in this segment of the market, one becomes extensive to any other, yet the respect of the world.
A greeting,
I want to complete my previous commentary indicating that Montblanc is a magnificent mark of the world of the writing, but that is not the “MARK”, that is to say, the best one, it is in a head group, with the very good marketing (that is an enterprise merit), although technically exist other more innovating marks. Mainly, its strategy has gone to a public spending power stop, that is where more benefits exist for the companies.
My censorship goes directed basically to the change of the system of guarantee, before limitless or of by life, and at the moment reduced to only two years.
Greetings,
Juan Carlos Martin
