Installing Notes, and the voice recorder launcher on your Treo
The Treo smartphones are some very complete. However, their keepers miss some applications that come installed by default on other Palm, and for some reason were not included in the Treo. I refer to Notes (NotePad), the program that allows you to save drawings in a show of hands with the stylus, Voice Memo (Voice Memo) to record audio through the microphone, and Launcher (Launcher), which allows a wallpaper to launcher applications.

Letters and Notes applications Voice
The archives and instructions for installation from a post that SAP made at the forum PdaExpertos. You can download them from that forum, although I have a copy on my server if at some point became unavailable:
- Note Pad_2.3-LifeDrive_ROM.zip
- Note Pad_2.3-LifeDrive_SIM.zip
- Voice Memo_1.3.1-LifeDrive_ROM.zip
- Voice Memo_1.3.1-LifeDrive_SIM.zip
The steps are as follows:
- Under these files, decompress and copy the files that need (see below) to the SD card for Palm, preferably in a directory other than the "\ Palm \ Launcher." To do this we need a program that gives access to the SD card, or use a card reader. We do not utilize install files directly by hotsync every effort must be made that comment, copied to the SD.

Moving files to the SD memory with Filez
- Once we have the files on the SD, we use Filez to copy them to memory. Another alternative method is to transfer files directly via infrared, if we have another team with puerto IrDA from which command.
As we saw when we installed in a Palm Files that do not bring factory, to install an application need to copy two files: the main (eg "NotePad.prc"), and support for the program for our language (for example "NotePad_esES. prc "for Spanish). In discharges above are included files to install these programs not only in Spanish but in English (ENUS), French (frFR), German (DED), Italian (itIT) and Portuguese (ptBR).
With this in mind, the files needed to install the programs in Spanish are as follows:
- For Notes (Notepad): CompressionPng.prc, CompressionZlib.prc, Note Note Pad.prc and Pad_esES.prc.
- For Voice Notes (VoiceMemo): VoicePad-Vpad.prc, and VoicePad-Vpad_esES.prc.
- For Launcher: Launcher.prc and Launcher_esES.prc.
So we already have available on the Treo these tools so useful in other PDAs it to the default. If you have any problems with the installation, I recommend you read the thread of the forum PDAExpertos and two of TecnoPalm.

I noticed that the file Note Pad_2.3-LifeDrive_ROM.zip has fewer files that the Note Pad_2.3-LifeDrive_SIM.zip and those who had were repeated. installing only the second… SIM.zip me has worked.
