How to install Notes, Voice Recorder and the launcher on your Treo
The Treo smartphones are some very comprehensive. However, their owners echaréis under some applications that are installed by default on other handhelds, and that for some reason were not included in the Treo. I refer to Notes (Notepad), save program that enables freehand drawings with the stylus, Voice Notes (Voice Memo) to record audio through the microphone, and Launcher (Launcher), which lets you assign a wallpaper to application launcher.

Applications Notes and Voice Notes
The files and installation instructions come from a post that SAP made in the forum PDAEXPERTOS. You can download it from this forum, although I have a copy on my server if at any time cease to be available:
- Note Pad_2.3-LifeDrive_ROM.zip
- Note Pad_2.3-LifeDrive_SIM.zip
- Voice Memo_1.3.1-LifeDrive_ROM.zip
- Voice Memo_1.3.1-LifeDrive_SIM.zip
The steps are:
- We got these files, unpack and copy the files you need (see below) to the SD card from the Palm, preferably in a directory other than the "\ Palm \ Launcher". To do this we need a program that allows access to the SD card, or use a card reader. We will not be worth installing the files directly through hotsync, you need to do what I mention, copied to the SD.

Moving files from SD to internal memory with Filez
- Once you have the files in the SD, use Filez to copy them to main memory. An alternative approach is to transfer files directly via IR, if we have another computer with IrDA port from which to send.
As we saw when installing Palm Files on a non factory brought it to install an application need to copy two files: the main (eg "NotePad.prc") and support for our language program (eg "NotePad_esES. prc "for Spanish). In the downloads above are included the files to install these programs not only in Spanish but in English (enUS), French (frFR), German (Dede), Italian (itIT) and Portuguese (ptBR).
Taking this into account, the files needed to install the programs in Spanish are:
- For Notes (Notepad): CompressionPng.prc, CompressionZlib.prc, Note Note Pad.prc and Pad_esES.prc.
- For Voice Notes (VoiceMemo) Vpad.prc VoicePad-and-Vpad_esES.prc VoicePad.
- For Launcher: Launcher.prc and Launcher_esES.prc.
So we already have available on the Treo these tools so useful that other PDAs it to the default ones. If you have any problems with the installation, I recommend reading the forum thread PDAEXPERTOS and the two of TecnoPalm.

I noticed that the file-Pad_2.3 Note LifeDrive_ROM.zip has less files than the Note Pad_2.3-LifeDrive_SIM.zip and who had appeared more than once. installing only the second ... SIM.zip I worked.
Thank you very much!
Bad luck, to record a note xD the Treo reboots

Thank you very much for sharing your results Parufito!
Parufito, you're the verchhhhhh, and does not reset my treo 680, yeah, at this moment I am Happy!
Slds. everyone!
One more thing, I know how to sound files. Pm3 rather unpleasant tone of the treo 680 for incoming calls or messages? or someone can help me???
@ micheleit: Check THIS post. Greetings.
@ Mark: The transfer of the files mentioned by BT directly to the internal memory of the Treo works without problems, at least on my Treo 680. It is obvious that we should not try to open the application until they have transferred all. Greetings.
