StyleTap can execute thousands of Palm applications in Windows Mobile

- StyleTap for Windows Mobile PocketPC is designed for apparatuses that have a touch screen and stylus, for example Treo700w/700wx, HP iPAQs, Dell Axim, and many HTC.
- For StyleTap for Windows Mobile Smartphone, on the other hand, is thought for equipment that does not have touch screen and stylus, but of a navigator of five directions, that is to say, Windows Mobile Smartphone like Motorola Q, Samsung Blackjack, and T-Mobile Dash.
StyleTap also allows to emulate games of PalmOS
The installation of PalmOS applications in Windows Mobile equipment with StyleTap is simple. In the PC a called program StyleTap Application Installer settles. This program is in charge to install correctly in the PDA the archives .prc/.pdb being used ActiveSync, so that later it executes them to StyleTap. In order to install programs from MacOS or Linux, we will not be able to use the Application Installer, but the process is equally simple: the necessary archives are placed .prc/.pdb in the directory of the data base of StyleTap (in the PDA Windows Mobile), that by defect is “\ Program Files \ StyleTap \ db”. Hello Marks, very useful again your contribution. I only have a question. What it interests to me more of the Styletap is to be able to run datebk and to reclaim the efficient form of organizarte through groups, but I have installed when it to not recognizes the calendar me of wm6. Yes the program settles and seems that it goes well, but without data because does not recognize the base of the calendar of wm. Is happened to you something? A hug.
Mmm, I do not believe that the installed PalmOS programs in the StyleTap, and the native programs of Windows Mobile, get to communicate among them easily, although are installed in the same equipment.
You will have to raise it like a transference of the data between different equipment, a PDA Windows Mobile to a Palm. For it for example you can use the Outlook like intermediate step: to synchronize by ActiveSync info of the WM, and soon by Hotsync to the DateBk.
You will really have decidirte to use one of them solely, I do not believe that they can share the data transparently.
then if palm does not remove something good we end up using Windows mobile. or something of mac that does not take.
