Vintage modding: 8Mb of RAM on a Palm III, Palm Pilot, PalmV, M100, Visor ...
Mixed moding and collectibles is what we find on this page which explains how to install 8Mb of RAM on a Palm III, a model that works brings only 2Mb.
The mod consists of replacing the memory chip on the motherboard
The Palm III comes with PalmOS 3 and 2Mb of memory. Were made from two types of memory module. To know which is installed in a given apparatus, we can visit this page. If wearing the "new" DRAM modules can be modified to have up to 8Mb. If you take the old type SRAM modules can only be up to 4Mb.

Hey, interesting, you may increase the memory of another palm, say, the TX? and then put 512 of ram, or more?
Well probably yes, knowing what we do. Anyway I think the easiest option to take over a good SD card.
Furthermore, by installing a higher capacity chip, RAM for running applications do not believe that increase, only storage.
I agree with Mark ... would have to rewrite the OS to change the settings for memory management ... this excellent post.
