Comparison of the new HTC Touch 3G, Touch and Touch Live HD
HTC expands its catalog with three new teams Touch. The family stands out for the Touch TouchFLO software, a 3D environment that allows to manage many features of the PDA via the touch screen using a finger. To understand what this is the TouchFlo, the better to see it in operation:
TouchFlo on a HTC Touch Pro
All three models share a common basis, that of the original HTC Touch, but introducing new features. For example bring all the latest version of Windows Mobile 6.1.
HTC Touch 3G

The new HTC Touch 3G
Started by HTC Touch 3G, equipment intermediate benefits, and then see how this differs his two brothers:
- Size: 102 x 53.6 x 14.5 mm
- Weight: 96g with battery
- Networks: WCDMA / HSDPA (900/2100 MHz), GSM / GPRS / EDGE (850/900/1800/1900 MHz), HSDPA (7.2 Mbps)
- Operating system: HTC TouchFLO Windows Mobile ® 6.1 Proffesional
- Display: 2.8-inch QVGA screen
- Camera: 3.2 megapixels
- Internal Memory: 256 MB flash, 196 MB RAM
- Memory card: microSD ™
- Bluetooth: 2.0 with EDR
- GPS: GPS / AGPS
- Interface: HTC extUSB ™ (mini-USB connector and audio in a single take; high-speed USB 2.0)
- Battery: 1100 mAh
- Talk time: WCDMA: up to 360 minutes / GSM: up to 400 minutes
- Waiting time: WCDMA: up to 450 hours / GSM: up to 365 hours
- Chipset: Qualcomm ® MSM7225, 528 MHz
The improvements made with respect to its predecessor are as follows:
- As we could deduce by name, which stands out in this team is the 3G connectivity (HSDPA). It allows surfing the internet at high speed, visiting the sites in its full version instead of prepared for PDAs, etc..
- It has included a GPS receiver, as in the HTC P3300. The team therefore has everything needed to operate the browser.
- With regard to his predecessor, has been expanded to 128Mb RAM and ROM to 256Mb, exactly twice in both cases. Is the minimum equipment in new generation, although in my personal experience I have not seen that yet justified (just yet).
- The camera is 3.2 megapixels (compared with 2Mpx Touch of the original). The image quality will also be the best (that is not the same as the resolution).
- Finally, a 528MHz processor that the team will be much more fluid than the original, equipped with a 201MHz running.
HTC Touch Viva

The new HTC Touch Viva
The HTC Touch is the younger brother live, with features more discrete but also secure a lower cost:
- Size: 104 x 59 x 15.75 mm
- Weight: 110g with battery
- Networks: GSM / GPRS / EDGE: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz
- Operating system: HTC TouchFLO Windows Mobile ® 6.1 Professional
- Display: 2.8-inch QVGA screen
- Camera: 2 megapixels
- Internal Memory: 256 MB flash, 128 MB RAM
- Memory card: microSD ™
- WiFi: 802.11 b / g
- Bluetooth: 2.0 with EDR
- Interface: HTC extUSB ™ (mini-USB connector and audio in a single take; high-speed USB 2.0)
- Battery: 1100 mAh
- Talk time: GSM: up to 480 minutes
- Waiting time: GSM: up to 270 hours
- Chipset: IT OMAP 850, 201 MHz
Compare this with the original equipment and 3G:
- It does not include data connectivity to high-speed 3G.
- Nor does the GPS receiver.
- It brings the extension of RAM memory to 128Mb and 256Mb ROM.
- The camera is 2 MegaPixel as the original Touch.
- The processor runs at 201MHz as the original Touch.
HTC Touch HD

The new HTC HD
Let's see the latest HTC Touch HD, pointing to a sector other than that of his brothers:
- Size: 115 x 62.8 x 12 mm
- Weight: 146.4 g with battery
- Networks: WCDMA / HSPA (900/2100 MHz), Quad-band GSM / GPRS / EDGE (850/900/1800/1900 MHz), HSDPA (7.2 Mbps)
- Operating system: HTC TouchFLO 3D with Windows Mobile ® 6.1 Professional
- Display: Wide Screen VGA display of 3.8 inches (400x800 WVGA)
- Camera: 5.0 megapixels with autofocus - Second camera: VGA
- Internal Memory: 512 MB flash, 288 MB RAM
- Memory card: microSD ™ (compatible with SDHC ™)
- WLAN: 802.11 b / g
- Bluetooth: 2.0 with EDR
- GPS: GPS / AGPS
- Interface: HTC extUSB ™ (mini-USB connector and audio combined, high-speed USB 2.0)
- Battery: 1350 mAh
- Talk time: WCDMA: up to 390 minutes / GSM: up to 310 minutes
- Waiting time: WCDMA: up to 450 hours / GSM: up to 390 hours
- Chipset: Qualcomm ® MSM7201a, 528 MHz
Let's see what makes this team different:
- 3G is a team, for an internet surfing at high speeds, when you do not have a WiFi network.
- The screen of 3.8 inches (compared to 2.8 for the others) and resolution of 400x800 pixels (320x200 compared to the other) makes him a wonderful team to watch videos and surf the Internet. It seems the strength of the team, as its name suggests.
- A camera with 5 megapixel autofocus is the best that we can find a team with these characteristics. We hope to see its image quality. The second VGA camera allow for video calls.
- The 288Mb RAM and ROM 512Mb guarantee the possibility of running the software to display on a good season. It may even be some movie without buying a MicroSD card expansion.
- Move the GPS receiver, as in the case of 3G.
- The processor runs at 512 MHz, as in the case of 3G
- The battery is also greater capacity to feed this powerful machine.
In short, the family of the HTC Touch is diversified to better meet the needs of each user: there is a team with 3G for those who will be surfing the internet using the network of your telephone operator, using GPS as juicy additional gift; a low cost terminal without GPS or 3G for those who want a PDA phone, high-performance but do not want arruinarse; and a team of high-end everything that brings the 3G and also a good camera and a screen that will be enjoyed for watching movies, run the TomTom or surf the Internet.
