Read comics on your Windows Mobile or PalmOS
Some years ago I discovered the large number of albums that circulate on the Internet, scanned patiently for fans of the genre. It's a treat to bring in the laptop and read comfortably in a time of leisure. It can take hundreds because they occupy much less "space" than their paper versions, plus the quality is more than satisfactory.
The idea is simple: it scans every page of comics in an image (eg JPG) and then these images are grouped into a single compressed file, usually ZIP (extension CBZ) or RAR (CBR extension).

Reading digital comics on your computer
There are comic readers for both Windows (CDisplay), Linux (Comical, QComicBook) and MacOS (FeedFace). But what has surprised me today is to find a comic reader for our Windows Mobile phones: Mobile Comic Reader.

And now you can read comics also in Windows Mobile
Of course, having a display device with VGA or higher resolution is only recommended for viewing images with the best quality, but this program has solved the issue for all teams, thanks to a virtual magnifying glass, allowing expansion comic zone we want to go read the texts and viewing the details. This comic book reader is also adapted to the size of the screen and supports the view horizontally and vertically. Also, save the page you were reading when you close it to resume from there.
The full features of this program are:
- Mode "lens", simply by tapping a portion of the page.
- The "lens" adjust its size automatically to display the text best.
- Full screen mode both vertically (1 page) or landscape (2 pages).
- Open ZIP / CBZ and RAR / CBR.
- High quality resizing to make the text readable full-screen size.
- Smooth scrolling, even on large pages.
- Remember the last page read.
- You can navigate between the albums which are in the same folder.
- Mode "manga" to correctly read Japanese comics (from right to left).
- Page List.
- Optionally partnership program with the file extensions CBZ, CBR and ZIP, RAR.
- Additional actions available with the buttons on the HTC TouchPro. allows the wheel to scroll.
Of course, PalmOS would not be left out. The software called ComiX allow us to read the comics in our palm. Lee CBR and CBZ files, loading the comics from the SD card, supports QWERTY keyboard and 5-way navigator for Palm, and you need a computer with PalmOS 5.0 or higher and SD slot.

There is also a comic book reader for PalmOS
An important detail is that it does not read directly ComiX CBR or CBZ files, but you need to use a converter software that comes with the program. From what I've seen this software in the documentation just uncompress the CBR or CBZ file, leaving the images in a directory, then copied to the SD of the Palm, so I almost easier to do this manually.
Once installed the program for our mobile PalmOS or Windows Mobile, is downloaded to the phone only a few comics. You enjoy reading:
